A decade of growth, sustainability & community at The Hub Newry

Some partnerships are built on contracts, ours are built on trust, shared values, and a whole lot of heart.

For over a decade, the Hub Newry coworking community has been home to Brack Tours, one of our longest-standing member businesses. In that time, we’ve truly grown together. Through Brexit and COVID, and during renovations, expansions, and all the highs and lows that come with running small businesses, we’ve always shown up for one another.

Growing Together Through Every Season

Over the years, we’ve seen our children grow up alongside our businesses. We’ve celebrated milestones and supported each other through the tougher seasons. Beyond our work, we’ve rolled up our sleeves for community projects from canal clean-ups to local sustainability initiatives and we’ve proudly stood side by side at awards ceremonies, celebrating what collaboration and care can achieve.

Shared Values, Shared Success

Together, we achieved Gold Green Tourism Certification, reflecting our shared belief that doing business well means doing it responsibly. Since then, Brack Tours have continued to shine. They’ve earned Sustainable Tourism Network Ireland and IOTA accreditations, as well as Travellers’ Choice Awards three years running.

A Full-Circle Moment

Now, there’s a beautiful full-circle moment: a second generation working within The Hub community. Nuala’s son, who grew up seeing the Hub in action, has completed university and now works remotely with his Boston-based employer from his own coworking desk right here in Newry.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. The Hub has always been more than a building; it’s a place where people and ideas grow side by side.

Looking Ahead

Through every challenge and every chapter, Brack Tours have shown what coworking and community are truly about – showing up, supporting one another, and leading with heart.

✨ Here’s to the next decade of shared journeys, new generations, and doing business with purpose and soul within The Hub Newry coworking community.

Coach for Micro Business Leaders & Neighbourhood Coworking Operators | Co-Founder, The Hub Newry

MD & Co Founder

Hi, I’m Suzanne Murdock - Co-Founder & Operator of The Hub Newry, a neighbourhood coworking and flexible workspace in the heart of Newry. For over 13 years I’ve worked closely with micro business owners, remote workers, growing teams and coworking operators, helping create calmer, more sustainable ways of working that support both people and performance. Alongside running The Hub, I also coach and mentor purpose-led business owners and neighbourhood coworking/flex space operators who are often quietly carrying a lot behind the scenes. My work focuses on helping people create more clarity, structure and momentum within real-life time, energy and capacity - without losing the human side of what they’re building. Much of what I write about here explores: • flexible and hybrid working • neighbourhood coworking and local business ecosystems • leadership, energy and decision fatigue • creating supportive environments where people can do their best work • balancing ambition with real life If you’re exploring workspace options, navigating change in your business, or simply trying to create a steadier and more sustainable way of working, you’re very welcome to get in touch. You can connect with me through The Hub Newry or email me at suzanne@thehubnewry.com 💛
