We’re Still Here To Keep Our Community Together!
The Hub Newry is here to help you stay sane, alive, and to get you back on track. Our initial response plan is aligned with putting our members and community first and keeping them safe. We are effectively communicating through a moving target, crisis management, running a marathon without a finish line so we have to pace ourselves & stay together to stay right!
As our member, Darren Mag Aoidh quoted to us earlier
“Ní neart go cur le chéile (Unity is strength)
agus
Is ar scáth a chéile a mhaireas na daoine (We depend on one another)”.
Although not together in physical space we will keep checking in with members through call’s / email & help however we can and this will extend to the following new communications and ideas:
-supporting each other through online meet-ups – coffee and chat 30 minute slots a couple of times a week
-scheduling remote working practices & remote tool lessons
-tips and links on how to use online remote tools, eg Zoom, Google Docs, Slack
– facilitating work exchanges / trade swaps / skills swaps / help in the community
-introducing a buddy system for members to help each other with projects, using new technology and being accountable to one another
-signposting information e.g. other networking groups, contacts, info links
-If anyone wants to run with /set up another idea then let us know
*We would love to know:
‘What the benefits that you get out of your coworking space when it’s fully operational so as we can do our best to replicate this for you virtually.
If we’ve missed anything or you would like to suggest anything please feel free to chip in*.
