Coworking Life

A coworkingspace is more than just work and business!

The readymade business network, fabulous talent, referrals, our bright innovative workspaces aren’t the only reasons to come and join our coworkingspace in Newry!

Coworking is a lot more than business! We have a super nice coffee machine, so there’s often coffee & nattering as well as spontaneous brunches. There’s also a fantastic community here not just as colleagues but as friends & family so there’ll always be someone to help you out or a shoulder to share emotions.hub christmas breaky-001

The Hub coworkingspace has a big network of friends and colleagues all over Ireland through its founding membership of CoworkingIreland and it’s partnerships with other coworkingspaces throughout the UK, Ireland and EU including Welsh ICE, European Coworking Assembly, WabiSabi – Coworking Community, Space and Events, The Hatchery NI.

“Community” is a massive part of what we do…The Hub Newry & Love Your Lough Canal Cleanup June 2016

Our community initiatives and quarterly fundraising for local charities are a big part of what our coworkers do here. We’ve been delighted to raise money this last year for PIPS Newry & Mourne through our Hub team’s “Up The Canal In A Bubble” and Newry’sHelpTheHomeless with our Christmas Jumper Day. We’ve also carried out a Newry Canal Cleanup with Love Your Lough.

We love exhibiting local artists talent and are delighted to cowork with local community groups and business organisations including NewryThrives and NEWRY Business Improvement District (BID) as well as Young Enterprise NI.

Above all, community is what’s important to us whether it be nurturing the wonderful talent in the Hub’s workspace or helping those local businesses and community groups succeed and grow to make this place around us great to be part of.

MD & Co Founder

Hi, I’m Suzanne Murdock - Co-Founder & Operator of The Hub Newry, a neighbourhood coworking and flexible workspace in the heart of Newry. For over 13 years I’ve worked closely with micro business owners, remote workers, growing teams and coworking operators, helping create calmer, more sustainable ways of working that support both people and performance. Alongside running The Hub, I also coach and mentor purpose-led business owners and neighbourhood coworking/flex space operators who are often quietly carrying a lot behind the scenes. My work focuses on helping people create more clarity, structure and momentum within real-life time, energy and capacity - without losing the human side of what they’re building. Much of what I write about here explores: • flexible and hybrid working • neighbourhood coworking and local business ecosystems • leadership, energy and decision fatigue • creating supportive environments where people can do their best work • balancing ambition with real life If you’re exploring workspace options, navigating change in your business, or simply trying to create a steadier and more sustainable way of working, you’re very welcome to get in touch. You can connect with me through The Hub Newry or email me at suzanne@thehubnewry.com 💛
