Deep dive into the flexible workspace – does your team work long hours or various timezones?

There are some things to think about in matching your team to the right workspace.

What are the key considerations if you or your team member works long hours / has to cover various timezones?

Hours of work – do the hours that your team are contracted to work match with the operating hours of the flexible workspace? You want your colleagues to feel safe, comfortable and to be able to work away happily without worrying….

Most of the larger town & city spaces will have 24 / 7 access but just check especially with the smaller, more rural spaces. You might find that there is a workspace with similar business and that there are several people working the same hours especially if there are other financial based businesses there.

• Lone working – if they are going to be working late evenings / early mornings for example then make sure that the spaces have a ‘lone working policy’, access to panic attack alarms, a close contact to call in an emergency and procedures for what to do in an emergency
• Security – is there cctv, access control systems, intruder alarms etc, security protocols in place?
• Health & Safety – does the workspace operator comply with building regulations, fire procedures, have a health & safety policy, guidelines, fore wardens etc and has your team member had a health & safety induction?
